'Strange Brigade' Is The Mystery E3 Title From Rebellion
Rebellion Developments is another company that basically had a mystery room during E3 this week, which turned out to be Strange Brigade. The game is a third-person adventure/shooter where you serve as part of a crew of treasure hunters in lands still filled with mythical creatures and wondrous bounty to be claimed.
You get to choose from four different figures, which I personally chose the woman engineer with a shotgun because why not? You basically have unlimited ammo from reload points scattered throughout the map, so taking out enemies isn't an issue. But there are so many in the demo that it can become overwhelming at time. When you kill creatures you gain ancient money, which is then used to bring you back from the dead if you fail at a certain point.
A good portion of Strange Brigade was fun for both the challenge and the puzzles, but that opening boss took up way too much time in the demo and started to drag out, even after using everything in the environment to kill him off early. I'm kind of curious to see how the gameplay will differ and what challenges the puzzles will give you moving forward when the game is officially released for PS4 and Xbox One down the road.
I will say this, though, the British humour is well worth the wait.
