Annapurna Interactive Announces Solar Ash During PS5 Reveal

Annapurna Interactive had a pair of announcements during the PS5 Reveal livestream today, the first of which we'll discuss is Solar Ash. The game is said to be launching sometime in 2021, as it will feature the incredible artwork and stylings of Heart Machine, who are the creators of the award-winning Hyper Light Drifter, into what will be a fully 3D world. In this game, players will explore a vast world called the Ultravoid, which is an unstoppable rift of despair that is ripping through the fabric of space. Within this void are fast, fluid traversal, massive encounters, and heartbreaking stories all for you to experience and overcome. The void is calling out to you, but can you resist some of the traps within it? You can check out a small description of the game below along with screenshots and the trailer that debuted today, as we all wait to see when the game will officially release next year.

From the minds at Giant Squid, best known for ocean adventure game ABZÛ, The Pathless is the mythic adventure of an archer and an eagle in a vast forest. Players take on the role of the Hunter, a master of archery who travels to a mystical island to dispel a curse of darkness that grips the world. The Hunter must forge a connection with an eagle companion to hunt corrupted spirits, in turn being careful to not become the hunted. Players will explore misty forests full of secrets, solve puzzles in ancient ruins and be tested in epic battles. The bond between the Hunter and eagle and the fate of the world hang in the balance.
