Bandai Namco Announces Tekken World Tour 2018
Over the weekend, Bandi Namco made the official announcement that the Tekken World Tour would be returning to the world of esports competition with a 2018 tournament, and revised the website with brand new dates for 2018. This year's set of events will have tournaments happening across the globe with a final tournament set to take place in Amsterdam, Netherlands near the end of the year. Last year's tournaments didn't get nearly the amount of hype they probably should have, so the company are making a bold effort to change that and make this year's competitions must-see events beyond just Tekken fans.
We have the official announcement video for you below, which doesn't really show off a lot beyond some of the highlights from the 2017 tour. Basically, this is the hype to get you into wanting to see these events play out. What is kind of cool is that they want to make this as global as possible so you're getting tournament dates in places that the company knows there's a large esports fanbase but haven't had the Tekken tournament come through last year like Kuwait, China, and Poland. For those looking to watch the tournaments, all of the events will be broadcast on Twitch.
