PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Chinese Mobile Game Gets a Really Impressive Live-Action Trailer

Tencent has released a live-action trailer, bringing the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds experience into the real world.

Recently, we caught footage of the officially licenced mobile PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds game. The Chinese only app actually looks fairly decent for what it is, porting the recognizable experience of PUBG, only now on the move. It's actually a pretty impressive achievement.

Here is another surprisingly impressive thing attached the mobile port: this live action trailer. Put together to show off the experience of PUBG, it does a lot to really sell the feeling of the game. While it could have easily just been a trailer of any group of people running around an open space and shooting at each other with the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds logo slapped on the end, this actually goes out of its way to make sure this feels like the game. The guns are the right guns, the equipment and vehicles looks exact, even the locations go out of their way to look spot on. It's really a cool little thing. Take a look:

The game is out now in China, but it's not clear if it will ever see the light of day outside of the country. These Chinese specific productions (such as Call of Duty ONLINE) tend to not, as they are built for that market. However, if the demand is there and there is money to be made while not running over the toes of any other agreements, there's always a chance. It would be interesting to see if it would take on over here.
