BlizzCon 2019 Will Host The "Hearthstone" Global Finals
Big news this weekend out of Blizzard as they have announced the Hearthstone Global Finals will officially take place at BlizzCon 2019. The company will be holding the event this November where eight players will compete at the Anaheim Convention Center for a $500k prize pool, the trophy, and the title of Hearthstone World Champion. Here's some of the details they released today.
Eight players will duke it out for their share of the $500,000 prize pool, the trophy, and the title of Hearthstone World Champion! One Grandmaster per season from each region will qualify for the Global Finals, meaning three Grandmasters will qualify through the Season 1 Playoffs, with three more qualifying through the Season 2 Playoffs. Both end-of-season playoffs will qualify one Grandmaster from each region to the Global Finals, meaning three Grandmasters will qualify through the Season 1 Playoffs, with three more qualifying through the Season 2 Playoffs. The final two players will qualify in through China's Gold Open Series Playoffs, which will take place on July 20 and October 6.
The Grandmaster's Season 1 Playoffs will be taking place this weekend, where the first three Grandmasters to qualify for the Hearthstone Global Finals will be determined. If you would like to check out the action, the playoffs will start on Friday, July 12th at a time TBD on Twitch.
