Days Gone Finally Gets an Early 2019 Release Date
Sony has finally revealed the release date for the long-anticipated Sony Bend Studio's Days Gone, with the game set to launch early next year.
Days Gone has been a little quiet of late. It isn't one of the four games meant to be showcased at E3 at Sony's press conference, and it has been missing in action from the last few press conferences. On top of that, it recently got delayed, so there were legitimate concerns about the title's health and what its current fate was.
However, it seems we don't have to worry much longer. As part of their pre-E3 build, Sony is showcasing new details about games prior to their press conference next week. Days Gone was up to bat today, and it resurfaced with a brand-new release date. Mark your calendar for February 22nd, 2019 if you are looking forward to picking up the game.
To go alongside this, the game has a moody trailer. There's plenty of some kind of faction warfare in here on top of the lead characters having a rough go of it, from getting beaten with a bat to taking bullets to the head. You can see that here:
I do wonder where Days Gone sits right now, as it seems it isn't going to see much time at the E3 press conference, which is a shame. At the same time, it's good to have the game in concrete now. It would fit the bill for that early year Sony exclusive that the company loves to occupy. Here's hoping this one turns out great.
