Dragon Ball Super Card Game Reveals Ultimate Deck 2022
This week, Bandai releases the sixteenth main set of Dragon Ball Super Card Game (the seventh expansion under the Unison Warrior Series banner) titled Realm of the Gods. Now that the set, which has the staggeringly long full name of Unison Warrior Series BOOST – Realm of the Gods, is released, let's look ahead to some upcoming releases. Today, we have what will be the very next release, which is the first Expansion Set of the year. Let's take a look at what the "Ultimate Deck 2022" will include.
Here is Bandai's breakdown of the Ultimate Deck 2022:
- EXPANSION SET: DRAGON BALL SUPER CARD GAME Ultimate Deck 2022 [DBS-BE20]
- Release date: April 2022
- MSRP: $19.99
- Contents
- 51-Card Structure Deck (All Silver Foil)
- Booster Pack x1 (B16)
This is a direct sequel product to January 2021's Ultimate Deck. To understand exactly what this is, first let's get into what an "Expansion Set" is. This terminology may be confusing because main series releases like Realm of the Gods are called both "expansions" and "sets." An "Expansion Set" in Dragon Ball Super Card Game terminology is something entirely different. An Expansion Set is a type of product that essentially includes an entire numbered set as guaranteed pulls in that product. You won't have to buy multiple instances of the product in hopes to get Secret Rares, as the set is the product. The fun part about the Ultimate Deck products is that they include the full Expansion Set as well as a booster pack, with this specific booster pack being the latest set, Realm of the Gods.
It has not yet been revealed what Dragon Ball Super Card Game's theme for the Ultimate Deck 2022 will be, but looking at the box? That's clearly the silhouette of Cell!
