Ed Boon Teases Black Manta For 'Injustice 2'

This news really isn't so much news, but people are making a big deal about it this weekend. Ed Boon teases Black Manta in a new video created by DC Entertainment. At the bottom of this story, you'll see an interview with the always-charming and honorary Funhaus member Rahul Kohli (iZombie) chatting with Boon at E3. (Not sure why it took three weeks for DC to make the video, but OK.) The video primarily discusses Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat coming to the game in the first wave of DLC fighters and then teases the Aquaman villain.

Problem is, WB Games already gave it away weeks ago.

Ed Boon Teases Black Manta For 'Injustice 2'

See this image? This was the teaser image for the first round of DLC fighters for Injustice 2, which is Sub-Zero, Red Hood, and Starfire. Behind them are six silhouettes, and if you peer over to the left, there's no mistaking the one in the middle is Black Manta. If DC really wanted to shock us, they should have gone for one of the characters we can't really identify from the shadows, which Boon himself points out in the video.

Why everyone thought this was news, we really don't know. The bigger question to us is why it took DC three weeks to make a four-minute video.
