Europa Universalis' Grandest LAN Party Returns for its Second Year

Europa Universalis' Grandest LAN Party Returns for its Second Year

LAN Parties are still a thing right? Paradox Interactive and Dziobak LARP Studios are teaming up to present "the ultimate multiplayer experience for armchair generals and would-be conquerors" in the Europa Universalis IV Grandest LAN Party. The LAN Party was so successful last year that they're bringing it back to let superfans celebrate the massive grand strategy game all in one place.

Which is exactly what EU4 players want, because Europa is the adaptation of a nearly unplayable board game, and a LAN Party is nothing more than a PC board game night. Which is kind of hysterical considering the game is going to be getting a new board game adaptation. Based on the video game. Based on the board game.

This year's LAN event will take place on November 7th through November 11th at Moszna Castle in Moszna, Poland. Because using a baroque palace in Upper Silesia (often considered one of the most beautiful castles in Europe) as the setting for a Europa Universalis event is just perfectly fitting.

As part of the LAN experience, players will be able to meet their enemies face to face and work out complicated alliances in-person rather than rely on the in-game options for chatting. Players will also be russing from room to room to deal with crisis ontop of crisis because this isn't just a LAN party, its also a bit of a LARP party.

And as Europa Universalis IV Game Director Jake Leiper-Ritchie says, it is "the greatest EU4 multiplayer experience one can have."

If you want to take part, go ahead and check out the ticket prices and availability over on the event's website.
