Geras From Mortal Kombat 11 is a Beast Worth Exploring

On top of the six characters we're already familiar with in Mortal Kombat 11, we got a new one thrown in our face with the introduction of Geras. We don't know a ton about him yet, but here's what we can muster from the trailers and the gameplay we've seen. The man seems to be a living construct made from the sands of time, or something to that effect, as the chest piece he has gives him his life and power. It seems he is, or once was, an immortal servant of Kronica–the new main villain in this game–as he seems to have powers that control time centered around his environment and the people in it.

Geras also has a bit of height on some of the main characters of the game, with an imposing figure much the same of Darkseid in Injustice 2. And while he can fly about, a lot of his moves are ground-and-pound, making him more of a slugger character that will throw you around like a rag doll. Playing him was an absolute treat at the demo this week, and we look forward to seeing more of him in Mortal Kombat 11.
