Hearthstone HCT World Championships: Group C Winners – Hunterace vs. justsaiyan
It's day two in Taipei, Taiwan as we're bringing you the complete Hearthstone HCT World Championships to crown at 2019 champion. Today's matchups will be the placement rounds in Group Stage C and D, and after four matches we're finally at the Winners Rounds as we check out Winners Group Stage C – Hunterace vs. justsaiyan.
Game one began with Hunterace going for his Mage deck while JS went for a Rogue deck. The two had some decent tradeoffs at the start, but it was clear from the get-go this was Hunterace's match to lose. He was in complete control, even when taking damage, he had this match won about halfway in as JS had little options. The second concede of the day came from JS at 3 health, with Hunterace going up 1-0. Game two saw both players go for a Rogue deck, as that has become the meta this championship series as the most popular deck brought into these matches. This time around both seemed evenly matched as they to jabs at each other and tore down each other's creature list, at one point both being at 19 health. JS, however, found the window of opportunity and didn't let it go to waste, taking out Hunterace's reinforcements and armor for a heavy blow and the victory, tying it up 1-1.
The third match went by so fast if you blinked you would have missed it. Hunterace took up his Rogue deck back in and JS went for his Shaman deck this time around. There was little offense from Hunterace as he didn't put up much of a fight this time around, just a bad draw on his part with little he could do to stop the eventual onslaught. JS was able to walk over him and take the 2-1 lead. Game four showed JS take up a Mage deck as Hunterace went for his Shaman deck again. The two of them had a pretty even opening as they went for the quick win but couldn't muster any better than keeping the other at bay, but Hunterace was then met with a bunch of nothing and was left mostly unprotected for the oncoming storm. JS cut him down and advanced with a 3-1 victory.
Winner: justsaiyan (3-1)
