"My Dreaming Ends, Your Nightmare Begins" Thoughts On Hearthstone's C'Thun Card

I've recently become a fan of Blizzard's mobile app card game Hearthstone. The expansion, Whispers of the Old Gods, is what originally brought me in. Not having knowledge of the massive quantity of cards available, I started small like everyone else. However, the Whispers of the Old Gods cards were incredibly easy to point out. Mostly because of the series of cards involving the name "C'Thun." The legendary card is a haunting villain that starts off with base stats of 6 health and 6 attack. Doesn't seem too bad, right?

Well, think again. There are a series of cards that buff the almighty C'Thun. This card by itself isn't as much of a threat. Sure, it does 6 points of damage, but it's the other cards that make it infuriating. For example, there are two cards that make it nearly impossible to not throw your phone across the room when they're successfully used. One is "Doomcaller." That card not only gives your C'Thun +2/+2, but it also shuffles it back into your deck if it's dead. The other is "Twilight Darkmender" which adds 10 health to your hero if your C'Thun has at least 10 attack.

Besides, if you have a "Twilight Elder" that stays alive for a few turns, that's not hard. It adds +1/+1 at the end of every turn. This is all really great if you can manage to do it yourself, but for someone like me who has a limited deck, it's not quite so fun. I bought 20 packs the other day, and didn't manage to get any cards that buffed my C'Thun. Hopefully in time my feelings on the subject will change. Hearthstone is my latest addiction after all…
How do you feel about the Whispers of the Old Gods expansion?
