Overwatch League Spotlight: Seoul Dynasty vs. New York Excelsior

This one was always going to be a pretty big deal. It's generally agreed upon at this point that there are three favorites for the league and they are the three all Korean teams. New York, London and of course, Seoul. While none have been all-encompassingly dominant thus far, with each showing some weaknesses, each have stood out of the pack. Out of those three, New York and Seoul have undoubtedly been the most impressive. That's why there was a big buzz around this one going in.

To set the stage, both teams had taken some knocks in confidence in their previous games from Week 3. New York was unexpectedly beaten by Fusion, marking their first loss of the season. Seoul on the other hand, while beating the worst ranked team in the league (but improving) Shanghai Dragons, certainly didn't have as comfortable a time as most would have expected, even losing a map. Both had something to prove, and in a match between possibly the best two teams in the league, perhaps bragging rights as to being the absolute best.

The calm calculation of Seoul and the blistering execution of New York was bound to make for an exciting contest and it absolutely did not disappoint. It's probably the most exciting and highest stakes match to date, and we've seen a ton of great matches already in the league. You should definitely check this out if you have a couple of hours. It's pretty special.
