The New York Times ran a story over the weekend talking to Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto and the impact the Nintendo Switch has had over the past year. Essentially, the focus of the story is that the Switch is what the Wii U should have been, but that it achieved things the Wii U couldn't have.
