PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Adds A New Optimization Patch
Today, Bluehole Inc. just sent PC owners of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds a brand new "Client Optimization and Bug Fixes" patch that is supposed to help out with performance issues that people have been complaining about for ages on Steam. This isn't going to be stuff that you notice right away, but gradually you'll catch on to what's happening. The first big areas are that the frame rate and server response time will be greatly improved when you're dealing with a crowded area in gameplay. How many times have you been shooting someone at the school or prison and find yourself with a glitching opponent? That should be eliminated. The other two deal specifically with character movement, which you'll recognize int he form of watching the map freeze and readjust when you're driving or running, which has been the bane of our existence a couple of times. Hopefully, this clears up some of the issues PC owners have been dealing with since the game was first launched.
Client Optimization
- Reduced lowered performance issue when many players were in the same area
Bug Fixes
- Fixed the issue where character movement was instantly stopped and adjusted
- Fixed the issue where character movement seemed unusual during the replay
