'Quake Champions' Is Set To Hit Early Access On Tuesday
Bethesda has officially made the announcement that the beta testing for Quake Champions is coming to an end, and the game is set to go into Early Access on Steam on August 22. The "Champions Pack" will be sold for $30 in early access, which will actually be a good 25% off the game when the full $40 version gets released sometime next year. Purchasing it now will basically be like buying part of the game as extra content will be added as you go with updates to follow, which means you'll be playing the game as it continues to be tweaked with and saving money on additional content before others waiting for the final version will be paying the extra $10.
Details came out that Quake Champions would be a free-to-play experience for everyone, but that those playing for free would only be getting basic gear, characters, and weapons choices. Purchasing the "Champions Pack" is how you'll get full access to everything the game will eventually have to offer. So if you're content with waiting and playing it for free, good on you! But if you've gotten a taste from the beta testing and know you'll be playing Quake Champions for a long time to come, snag that pack the minute it goes on sale.
