Razer Announces Their New "Wolverine Ultimate" Game Controller

In the middle of Gamescom and just before we all head to PAX West next week, Razer has unveiled their newest game controller for PC and Xbox One. The Razer Wolverine Ultimate has been designed to essentially be any gamer's controller, whether you be an occasional player or a hardcore fighter. The controller will have interchangeable D-Pads and various thumbsticks of different heights and shape, allowing you to mold this controller to whatever you want it to be for your hands. It also includes six trigger buttons (two in the traditional spot and four more on the underside) that are remappable. Here's a quick quote from the press release Razer sent out.

"We've taken our time with the development of the Razer Wolverine Ultimate to really get it right," says Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO. "Thanks to endless design iterations and pro-gamer feedback, we're proud to be finally releasing a new contender for the crown."

The Wolverine Ultimate also includes an RGB lighting strip, which can be controlled and programmed from the Razer Synapse and the Xbox control system. This particular controller will also be the first console product to support Razer Chroma SDK, essentially allowing developers to put in programming for full emersion and have the lighting match what's happening in the game. We've added a complete gallery of the controller below, and hope to tell you more about it while we're in Seattle!
