Revisiting the Light of Projection at PAX West
Back at PAX East, we enjoyed getting a taste of Projection from Blowfish Games, so we had to double-down and try it out again at PAX West. If you haven't seen this game yet, you're playing as a shadow puppet in a land where depending on what angle light shines at, you can interact with it. You control your character with the left stick and a beam of light with the right. By shining the light on the right side of a box, you create a shadow on the left side that allows you to climb up the shadow and over the box. Using that lighting perspective throughout the game to create solid shapes from darkness presents a fun puzzle platforming challenge.
This time around we got two new additions. First was the ability to jump, which we're a little confused as to whether it wasn't there the first time or if no one told us, and the second was a new landscape to play in designed to look like China. Projection is a wonderful game to play and we wish Blowfish had a better date for us besides Q1 of 2019.
