"Streets Of Rage 4" Shows Off A New Behind-The=Scenes Video

Dotemu, along with Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games released a new behind-the-scenes video today showing off the art of Streets Of Rage 4. The video shows off how the creative team went about making the game look and feel like the original with a new art style. As well as how they went about making new characters that fit within the same world. It's pretty cool to see the team go step-by-step as to how they wanted to make a hybrid of the past and the present that would appeal to every fan of the series. Enjoy the video below as we wait for the devs to give us a formal release date for 2020.

The video, led by Lizardcube's Art & Creative Director Ben Fiquet and Lead Background Artist Julian Nguyen You, explores the extraordinary level of detail Lizardcube is bringing to Streets of Rage 4's bustling city along with a bold style emphasising linework and movement. Lizardcube's vision incorporates fresh additions and a distinctive feel while upholding the series' signature neon-soaked urban aesthetic – and even adds in elements once planned for the original Streets of Rage 2, including a car barreling onto the screen and crashing into players.
