Tonight Is Reshiram & Zekrom Raid Hour #3 In Pokémon GO: Dec. 2021
It's time to say goodbye to Reshiram and Zekrom in Pokémon GO. Tonight is the third and final Reshiram and Zekrom Raid Hour happening this month with the Ice/Dragon-type Kyurem set to take over tomorrow. The Fire/Dragon-type Reshiram and Electric/Dragon-type Zekrom will be appearing with increased frequency in Tier Five Raids in Pokémon GO from 6 PM – 7 PM local time tonight with their Shiny forms unlocked. Here are some tips to take advantage of this Raid Hour.
- Even if you have the Shiny, play!: Zekrom and Reshiram are powerhouse Pokémon. This is going to be a rare chance to farm Candy and Candy XL for these Dragons. I recommend playing these Raid Hours hard while we have a rare Dragon-type feature in Pokémon GO, as we all know how Niantic likes to really withhold those Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, and other Dragons in order to make the releases special.
- Timezone tip: In the past, Raid Hour was limited by how many Gyms you could physically walk to in an hour. Now, with the dawn of Remote Raid Invites in Pokémon GO, you will be able to play raid hour in any timezone in which you have friends. A great bet is to take advantage of social media, as Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, and Discord can lead you to raid groups that will include international players. Because of this, you can exponentially increase the number of raids you are able to complete during Raid Hour.
- Shinies are guaranteed catches: If you do encounter a Shiny Pokémon in one of these raids, don't waste your chance to increase the Candy you earn! Shiny encounters in Tier Five raids in Pokémon GO are guaranteed first-ball catches. Use a Pinap Berry on this encounter to increase the number of Candies you earn, because it is a guaranteed catch.
