Tony Hawk has revealed Tony Hawk's Skate Jam, a new mobile game trying to replicate the classic formula on the go. It's available now too.
The Tony Hawk games were an real force in a lot of young lives. The past time and culture really affected a generation in the first decade of the new century. While not the only factor, a lot of that interest in the scene was stoked by the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series. It's not often a game based around something specific bleeds out into genuine real-world enthusiasm, but those games were iconic for both gaming and skateboarding alike.
It seems we are about to get a new game from the titular skate boarder too. Hawk has revealed a new game called Tony Hawk's Skate Jam today. On top of that, it's already available. It's a free-to-play game which you can obviously pump money into to get immediate in-game rewards. The game comes from Maple media and is available now on iOS, and coming soon to Google Play. The series has been in rough shape for a long while now. After the slow collapse of the main franchise, Activision gave the series one more shot with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 but that game fell quite some way short of living up to its predecessors.
