A Twitch Channel Takes Third Place In A 'PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' Match
Probably one of the oddest things you'll see on Twitch, and proof that you don't need to be an elite sniper to succeed in the game, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds had an interesting little match one night that you might be interested to watch. Twitch has been doing these events with game companies where they allow a room full of viewers to dictate what happens in the game by typing commands into the chat. A lot of the time this happens, it mainly gets laughs. But sometimes you get gold.
We weren't able to find a copy of the entire game, just the ending that was clipped and posted to a couple different websites, but the chat managed to take third place in a round. And let's be clear about this, that included shooting people and evading detection while staying inside the ring of death as the level slowly closes in. They managed to outlast 97 other competitors, and the only reason they lost was that someone ran them over with a car as they were crawling on the ground.
It's an awesome lesson in group decision making and mentality that sometimes the masses know what they're doing. You can see the ending below, and yes, we would love to see the entire PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds match.
