All Xbox Controllers Will Support Button-Mapping In the Future

It's kind of weird that consoles have never had native button-mapping. The ability to completely customise a button configuration to your own needs has never been a common practice really. It's recently been added to PS4 feature list mind, so the Xbox One is currently lagging behind in this regard.

That is changing soon though with the Xbox Elite controller, which will allow this function when it arrives at the end of this month. According to Microsoft's Mike Ybarra in a tweet (via Polygon), it was revealed that the option will eventually come to every Xbox One user at some point.

It's good to see this functionality become common place now. Giving users more control over their experience is always going to satisfy more users.
