Battlefield 5 Could Be Set In WWI According To Retail Listing
One thing that I hear growing each year, is the sentiment that one of the big military shooter franchises should go back to the World War well. It's been a while since we saw a AAA fps tackle the timeline, which were a dime a dozen back in the heyday of Medal of Honor.
Well, according to this shop listing, by Swiss retailer World of Games, we might be going back to World War 1. As spotted on Twitter by Thrillho, via IGN, when translated, the listing makes reference to 'Multiplayer tactical shooter in WW1'. It also gives the date of the game as October 26th.
Perhaps take this with a grain of salt, as this is the first mention we've heard of this, but this certainly does feel curiously specific. I'd love to see what DICE could do with the setting and the Frostbite engine, certainly. I'd be very curious indeed.
