Seeing how big Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain sells is going to be fascinating. The series, while being a classic, has never seen humongous sales, but in a world where video games are at their most popular and marketing budgets are bigger than ever, perhaps we can see the game do serious bank.
Here is our first indication of how the game is going too. According to NeoGAF, this Japanese advert has been seen circulating. It more or less translates that the game was shipped 3 million copies world wide. Bare in mind, that is shipped, and not sold to consumers.
Still, it is a nice starting point. I hope we get more concrete numbers later.
