Team Deathmatch Mode Coming To Star Wars: Battlefront
Star Wars: Battlefront will live or die on its game modes. The online multiplayer centric game will need variety and breadth in order to keep the player base coming back all the time.
With that, EA and DICE have announced a new mode for the game, called Blast. Don't expect to be blown away by the ingenuity though, it is just Team Deathmatch. A very important staple though, and the place where I'm sure many will spend their time playing.
In a blog post, the developer outlined the mode saying:
Star Wars™ Battlefront's™ Team Deathmatch mode, Blast, pits the Rebel and Imperial factions against each other with intense 10 versus 10 battles. If your team reaches 100 kills, or are ahead when the 10-minute round is over, you've won. Immediate, addictive, and exciting until the very last kill; that is our ambition with Blast.
That is an important notch to have revealed, but I have to say, I hope we see more diversity going forward.
