Twitter Of PlayStation's Shuhei Yoshida Hacked By "Security Group", Tweets " #Xbox4Eva"
Hackers, and people who somehow convince themselves they are not hackers because of some moral high ground (but are absolutely hackers), are nothing new to gaming. Indivduals and groups have long attacked service providers and companies to ruin the fun of other gamers.
One group has taken it to a personal level though by hacking the Twitter account of Sony's Shuhei Yoshida. As one of PlayStation's key faces, the influential account has been taken over by OurMine who are claiming they are not a hacker group, but a security group who have gotten access to point out flaws in the system. Or something.
As if to illustrate the group's virtuous goals , they also tweeted this from the account.
As of the time of writing, coming in on four hours of it being up, the Tweet is still active and the group still hold the account. Hopefully this is resolved swiftly and punished harshly, as it's actually a pretty serious invasion of privacy and platform.
