We Watched A Video of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" at E3
One of the biggest games of 2019 to be announced was Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare, which we were looking forward to checking out during E3 2019. When we got booked for some time with Activision during the event, it was a little bittersweet as we got to check out a video of the game, but no gameplay demo to be found. I kind of suspected we weren't going to get one after seeing Activision didn't have a large presence on the floor, so we're kind of curious what Infinity Ward is working on for the game that prevented them from bringing even just a single mission to the dance. But hey, we got a 15-minute presentation along with some free food and drinks, so we couldn't complain that much.
During the video we saw, keeping it spoiler free, we saw in-game footage of the team raiding a four-story home that had a terrorist cell inside. The crew went into night vision and cleared out everything floor-by-floor. At one point, someone was hiding in the closet shooting from behind the door, taking down one of your soldiers. The player at that point decides to shoot through the wall of the closet on his side and kill the armed man in the closet. That got everyone psyched as they threw in mechanics more reminiscent to Rainbow Six Siege. The soldier then got taken downstairs and you were down two people to clear the rest of the house. The video definitely got you pumped to play Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare when it drops on October 25th, but I want to play the game before I start raving about it beyond clips designed to make it look magnificent.
