We'll Be Getting a New Call Of Duty Game Announcement Before July

According to new reports that hit several websites yesterday, Activision is planning to announce the next Call Of Duty game by the end of next month. The main source of all this came from Game Informer, who reported that during an investor call they will release details of the next entry into the series, which is being developed by Infinity Ward.

The publisher revealed during its earnings call that it plans to reveal more about this year's title "sometime during this [fiscal] quarter." That means that sometime before June 30. This points to a big info drop sometime before or during this year's E3.

It doesn't take a lot of detective work to figure out we're getting an announcement for the next entry into the Modern Warfare side of the Call Of Dury franchise. The real question is whether the company will do the reveal in late May along with other developers who are previewing a few titles before E3 2019, or if it will, in fact, be during E3 which would put the info at mid-June. Your guess is as good as ours, but if we had to place bets, we're guessing we'll get an official reveal before any of the E3 press conferences so the company is ahead of hype train going into the convention.
