WSOE 7: The "Tekken 7" & "SoulCalibur VI" Event Announced
The World Showdown of Esports (WSOE) has announced this week they will be running their first fighting game tournament with WSOE 7. And to kick this one off they got in partnership with Bandai Namco to present two tournaments featuring SoulCalibur 6 and Tekken 7. The one-day tournament will take place on July 27th, 2019, at the PokerGO Studio (ARIA Resort and Casino) beginning at 10 am PDT. The rest of the details, including who can participate, and pretty thin. Eight top competitors in each game, plus seven invited players and a qualifier from the Level|Up Wednesday Night Fights, will face off in a double-elimination format for $30k in prizes. The Tekken 7 & SoulCalibur VI Showdown is WSOE's first entry into the fighting game arena, with a single-day, double-elimination format featuring top players competing for $30,000 in prizes. Each game title will have seven invited competitors and one qualifier to be determined during the West Coast qualifying competitions on July 10 (SoulCalibur VI) and July 17 (Tekken 7).
Fans and gamers can follow the tournament on WSOE Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, or Twitter. There will be no live in-studio audience, however, media are welcomed and encouraged to attend and cover the action. Players, casting talent will be available for on-site or phone interviews beginning Friday, July 26, with WSOE Commissioner Christian Bishop available throughout the month of July.
