XBox 20/20 Shows Off Rally Racing in Dirt 5 from Codemasters

Unveiled at today's Xbox 20/20 streaming event, Dirt 5 looks like a racing game you'd find in a new console. This new entry into the Dirt series features rally racing made to appeal to a wide audience. This game will play for like an arcade, so it won't turn off new fans due to how difficult it is. The graphics show stunning, lifelike rally cars and detailed, fun locations, including New York, China, and Norway.

Fans can play regular rally style, or Career mode — a story-based mode featuring the talents of Troy Baker and Nolan North. Car culture fans will also recognize names from the car culture world, which will be announced later. Career mode lays out a decision-based story that changes with the player. By adapting to the players choices, fans can furhter fall into the beautiful world of Dirt.

In photo-mode, players can show off their creativity, and gaming groups can take advantage of the 12-player multiplayer mode, which can be enjoyed offline. This third party game also supports Smart Delivery — fans can grab the game on Xbox One, and then automatically get the game for the next-gen Xbox Series X at no additional cost. This goes for both digital and physical copies — an excellent move to keep fans satisfied. Personally I still like owner physical copies of games, but I like the option of owning them digitally as well.

The game is due out this fall, and will be a hit with new and old fans. I for one can't wait to get the game. Racing games are some of my favorites, and the graphics look like I'll be pulled into the world of Dirt 5 quickly. What did you think of Dirt 5? Watch the trailer below, and let us know in the comments below if you'll be buying this game later this year.
