Xbox Live is going to be free for everyone this weekend, meaning you and all your friends will be able to play online with no limitations.

Online gaming is a pretty big part of the modern day gaming. That's not the most ground-breaking of takes, but just about every game has some kind of online component be that competitive or otherwise. If you are in a position of not being able to access an online service on consoles, like PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live, it can feel a little lonely. That's never fun.

Well, this weekend Xbox might well have you covered on that front as Xbox Live will be open to everyone at no charge on both Xbox One and Xbox 360microsoft

. It's already started, so if you want to hop in, you can do so. The promotion is running until February 19 at 2:59am EST, so you got all weekend to get your playing done. You can play with no restrictions either. Any game, any mode, it's all there ready for you.

What's more than that, you can really maximise the bang for your buck (or rather the lack of buck at all) as both Overwatch and Rainbow Six Siege are also free to play. No restriction on those either. You can play the full versions at no extra charge. That's a lot of free for one weekend.

So yeah, get a few friends online, play a bunch of games, have a good time for literally nothing. Whether you don't have Xbox Live due to money, access or just a lack of interest, why not just peak your head around and see what you enjoy. It won't cost you a thing.
