Agents Of SHIELD To Tie Into Avengers: Age Of Ultron

SHIELDTonight is the fall-finale of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. but Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the series will tie into Avengers: Age of Ultron. This shouldn't come as to much of a surprise as the television series was turned upside down after the release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but just how much of a connection the show will have remains to be seen.

"You should expect something," executive producer Jed Whedon says. "The Avengers is the big tent that all the franchises play under. Obviously, we're included in that."

"I don't think any movie has the potential to impact us in the way that Captain America 2 did," executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen says, "but there will be connections."

Agents of SHIELD will be on break while the 8-week Marvel's Agent Carter series runs from January 6th with SHIELD returning March 3rd. The release of Avengers 2 will by May 1st, well before the season finale of SHIELD.
