Assassin's Creed Creator Announces New Game, Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
Assassin's Creed is obviously buried deep into our psyche now as a very popular. corporate series. At one point though, it was a really novel concept. Using a machine to explore different parts of history to find lost treasure? Add in a secret milenia long war between Templars and Assassins and you have a great idea.
That initial idea came from Patrice Désilets. He has since left Ubisoft after major disagreements with the publisher, but today he revealed he is off working on a whole new project. As part of
Panache Digital Games, the developer announced that he will be making Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey. Here is a trailer for the game from his panel at the Reboot Develop event.

That obviously didn't tell us much about the game, but if you head over to the developer's website, this description pops up.
Our game is a third person action-adventure survival episodic game.
Through each episodes, we want the player to relive the greatest moments of mankind with a documentary twist. Our civilisation is one idea away from extinction… or evolution.
I'll bite. That sounds really interesting. I wouldn't expect to hear too much from the game too soon, but the site promises we will hear more in 2015. I'll keep my ear to the ground.
