Back To The Future Director Robert Zemeckis Rumored In Talks To Helm The Flash
Back in October, The Flash movie lost its second director when Rick Famuyiwa left over creative differences (the Hollywood equivalent of "it's not you, it's me.") The script was also recently gone over by Joby Harold (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword)… so there are some doubts about the film being ready for its March 16, 2018 release.
But a new rumor might mean the film is getting back on track. ScreenJunkies are reporting that Back to the Future director Robert Zemeckis is being looked at to take over the film. The report claims that the director is a fan of the character and is 'in talks' to pick up where Famuyiwa left off.
Though nothing is official or confirmed, the internet has been reacting very positively to the news. Zemeckis is a fan favorite and would give WB / DC a lot of positive credit for the move. Beside the Back to the Future films, Zemeckis is also know for: Forrest Gump, Contact, Romancing the Stone, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Polar Express, Beowulf and Castaway.
Joining Ezra Miller in the cast Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Billy Crudup as Henry Allen and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.
