Bullies To Be Bullied In New Movie, Bullies
Shelly Horwitz writes for Bleeding Cool
Ever been bullied? Ever wanted to find sweet, sweet catharsis in a movie about bullies having bad things happen to them? Good news!
Randy Krallman, an ad director with a rack of shiny trophies to his name, is signed to direct his first feature, called Bullies. It's going to be a comedy about two brothers who, after a lifetime of bullying, finally get what's coming to them.
It's based on an idea from Danny McBride (The Foot Fist Way, Tropic Thunder) and written by Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul, the two non-famous creators of the new animated show Allen Gregory (the third co-creator is Jonah Hill).
Matt Reilly, one of the producers, said in a statement that, "This is one of the most audacious scripts in years. Not only is it absolutely hilarious, but it also tackles a topical, relevant issue in a fun, smart, and provocative way."
Also, Randy Krallman's commercials have apparently won both the Cannes International Advertising Festival and the Clio, which I only know about from Mad Men. Hopefully it'll live up to its pedigree. Schoolyard bully-targets, unite!
