SDCC News: The On Again-Off Again 'Dark Justice' Is On Again

Dark Justice, based on the comic book titled Justice League Dark, was a pet project of director Guillermo del Toro and was set to feature the magic and occult based characters of the DCEU like John Constantine, Zatanna, Etrigan the Demon and Swamp Thing. The film was bandied about for a few years before del Toro officially exited the project. But word was that DC wasn't done with it.

Now, emboldened by the box office success of Wonder Woman, Warner Bros. slated two new untitled movies earlier this week for 2020, and then at their big panel at Comic-Con today they debuted footage of Aquaman and a new trailer for Justice League. They also confirmed a Green Lantern Corps movie, a Wonder Woman sequel, that Shazam will be filming next…and that they'll be doing Dark Justice.

No word on any director or cast involved, but recently DC released a Justice League Dark animated movie that did very well, which may also have spurned the studio to green light the project.
