Darryl Jacobson Could Turn Up In Thor: Ragnarok
The Thor short explaining where he was during Civil War that was originally shown during Marvel's SDCC presentation and later brought to the internet, was great. It was funny and dealt with the implication of a superhero in the real world in a bright way.
It made the character Darryl Jacobson an overnight hit. He was Thor's normal roommate who the god of thunder lived with while he was chilling out in Australia. It was assumed this thing was a joke, and probably not canon, but seems we may not have seen the last of Darryl. Speaking to IGN, Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi said the character might not be done with yet.
He said:
I think you probably could see him again. There may be other little pieces of that thing that everyone saw that may just be a small part of a bigger thing
I'm not really sure what he means with that last sentence, be it that there is a longer cut of the short or the short has hints at bigger implications in the MCU. Now I really am curious…
