Disneyland Adds 6500 New Parking Spaces
In addition to the new hotel coming, Disneyland is building a brand-new 6500-car garage. The garage will be next to the Mickey and Friends garage, and will use the new hotel as an entryway for guests.
Disney is predicting that it will speed up guest arrival by adding a 60% increase in access lanes, and obviously parking to the west side of the resort. This will eliminate back up on city streets, and frankly Disneyland needs it. With the new Star Wars and Marvel lands opening soon, Disneyland will see an increase in traffic.
Construction will begin February of 2018, and should hopefully be done by the following year. I went to Disneyland over the summer, and was quickly reminded of how awful it was getting to and from the park. I personally look forward to the new expansions, and can't wait to stay in the new hotel!
