Warner Bros. and Apple Studios have released a new clip from F1 where Ruben (Javier Bardem) tries to convince Sonny (Brad Pitt) that they have a team.

Article Summary

  • Warner Bros. and Apple Studios debut a new F1 clip featuring Javier Bardem and Brad Pitt’s dynamic.
  • F1 aims to deliver a high-octane racing film amid a crowded June release calendar for movies.
  • Apple Studios faces high stakes as F1 could determine its theatrical future and box office success.
  • The film embraces a classic rookie-veteran sports movie formula, promising drama and excitement.

Apple Studios has a lot on the line next month with F1. They haven't had a big hit at the box office, and if this one doesn't connect with audiences, they might be out of the theatrical distribution game. It isn't for everyone, which is fine, but it does mean they need to start adjusting the budgets of these films in a very big way. F1 looks like it took advantage of all of the money it was given, however much that ended up being, and they have all of the pieces to make an excellent film. However, June is busy, and there are a lot of big movies to contend with, and F1 is only just starting to find a real fan base in the United States. This film could do well internationally, but domestically, who knows? It's a good thing that the movie looks, well, pretty good. We got to see the first 10 minutes at CinemaCon, and they were pretty impressive. Today, Apple Studios and Warner Bros. have released a new clip. This film is going for the classic "young new rookie, older experienced veteran" dynamic that we have seen play out in so many sports films. We have seen it play out so often because it tends to work. In this case, the scene is Ruben (Javier Bardem) trying to convince Sonny (Brad Pitt) that it will work for them too.
