Hamilton Character Posters Revealed as the Debut is Just 10 Days Away
Hamilton is hitting Disney+ in ten days, and the excitement is in the air. After revealing that the film would be PG-13 yesterday, and showing off the trailer for the event, Hamilfans and newbies alike can't stop talking about what we are all about to experience on July 3rd. Disney revealed ten new posters for the streaming event this morning, featuring the characters from the show completing the star on the iconic logo for the show. Hamilton is the type of event that will get people that haven't signed up for Disney+ to get the service, a "service seller," if you will. Check out all of the posters down below.
"Hamilton" is the story of America then, told by America now. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and Broadway, "Hamilton" has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre—a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education. Filmed at The Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway in June of 2016, the film transports its audience into the world of the Broadway show in a uniquely intimate way. An unforgettable cinematic stage performance, the filmed version of the original Broadway production of "Hamilton" combines the best elements of live theater, film, and streaming to bring the cultural phenomenon to homes around the world for a thrilling, once-in-a-lifetime experience."
I couldn't be more excited about this. I have never seen the stage show, never heard the music, nothing. I wanted to wait for something like this, with the original cast. That I got my wish, like many others, is amazing. I have no doubt that I will enjoy this and watch Hamilton many times while it is on the service, and again if it is released in theaters still, which I think Disney will still do.
