The upcoming new Terminator film will ignore the events of Terminator: Genisys and any entries not made by James Cameron, according to Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Arnold revealed the news at the UK event "An Experience With Arnold Schwarzenegger". According The Terminator Fans via ScreenCrush, Schwarzenegger said that "Cameron was not involved in the others, so he does not acknowledge the others," and that the movie would "totally ignore Genisys," the 2015 which Schwarzenegger also starred in. The new entry will also apparently ignore Rise of the Machines, Salvation, and The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Cameron regained the rights to the franchise earlier this year.

Linda Hamilton is set to return for the flick, which is being directed by Deadpool's Tim Miller. Cameron is writing and producing the movie for a 2019 release window.
