Is Thomas Wayne In Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice?
With a minimum of 20 (!) Marvel and DC movies already on the schedule between now and 2020, not even counting Sony and Fox, and a number that's likely to increase even further over the coming year, if this isn't the golden age of comic book film rumor-mongering and speculation, I don't know what is.
So let's get at it: The following pic surfaced on twitter last night, purporting to be from the set of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The prevailing theory is that it looks like Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and that given the givens of a where you'd find a large portrait like that, he might be playing Thomas Wayne.

That fits as far as it goes, and Zack Snyder has worked with him before as he played the Comedian in Watchmen. As for whether that is Morgan… yeah, it is definitely close, but as it is a painting, I think the jury is out on that one for the moment. But as for whether it is Thomas Wayne… I think that makes a fair bit of sense, given what we know. That certainly looks the way that the elder Wayne has been depicted, and I could definitely see some him being used in some flashbacks in there.
I'll be interested to see what the forum thinks about this one.
