James Mangold Teases Black And White Logan In Theaters On May 16th Ahead Of Blu Ray Release

The idea of a black and white version of the hit movie Logan has been percolating since the first black and white stills were released to promote the film, even though if the film really did want to capture the spirit of Shane, the 1953 Western referenced in the movie, they should be releasing it in Technicolor. In any case, director James Mangold even confirmed that he was working on a black and white cut back in March for the Blu Ray release. However, tweets today by Mangold seem reveal that the black and white version of Logan will play in theaters a week early, on May 16.

So we know the movie will be on big screens (more than one) in the U.S. only on May 16, but that's about it for now. Hopefully more details will be released soon.
