Marvel's Jessica Jones Actor Wil Traval Joins Chicago P.D.
Most of our readers will recognize actor Wil Traval from his role of Will Simpson on Marvel's Jessica Jones, or his guest appearance as Christopher Chance on Arrow, or even as the Sheriff of Nottingham on Once Upon A Time. TVLine is reporting that Traval will be making a guest appearance in Season 5 of Chicago P.D.
The actor will play Sergeant McGrady from Narcotics who has ties to Detective Hailey Upton's (Tracy Spiridakos) past. The Intelligence unit needs help from McGrady and the past between the two characters becomes obvious, but what that history is remains unclear. Romance? Maybe something to do with how Upton got into Robbery Homicide? We'll have to wait and see.
Spiridakos told TVLine:
"I know that we will see more of how she became a detective. That's something that we're going to talk about later on in the season, so that's cool. I'm super excited about that."
Traval has been talked about recently in relation to his Will Simpson role on Jessica Jones. Simpson is also known as Nuke in the comics and is part of the Born Again storyline that seems to be what the third season of Marvel's Daredevil will focus on. It's unknown if they will bring Traval into that series, but his character is already set up and ready to go.
Chicago P.D. airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
