New Avatar Game Coming In The Form Of An Endless Runner
The Avatar sequels were recently pushed back once again to December 2017. That will make it a full eight years after the original came out. That is kind of mind boggling in a way. The original film doesn't seem anywhere near that long ago.
Regardless, we are a little far off when it comes to traveling back to Pandora, but here is something to tide you over. A new mobile endless runner called Avatar: Warrior's Journey was hinted at on the Avatar official Facebook (via IGN). The game will have you play as a young Na'vi warrior as you "run, dodge, and ride your way through the stunning world of James Cameron's Avatar." You'll earn abilities, outfits and "ultimately your own place amongst the clans".
Two weeks ago, I sniffed my nose up at mobile based endless runners, but I am currently trapped in a systematic loop of playing the free-to-play Spider-Man Unlimited. The genre is perfectly suited for mobile and, dare I say it, I'm even coming to enjoy it. I may end up giving Avatar: Warrior's Journey a go when it hits in Spring.
