New Look at Doctor Sivana in a New Image from Shazam
With Aquaman currently doing very well at the box office things are looking up for the DC universe these days. It's a nice change of pace considering how dour things have been in recent years. DC is finishing up 2018 pretty strong and early 2019 is looking to be pretty strong as well. Thus far the fan reactions to Shazam have been very positive. Empire Magazine has shared a new image of the villain, Dr. Thaddeus Sivana played by Mark Strong, that we've only seen a brief scene of so far.
The first teaser mostly focused on our hero and the idea of a kid becoming an adult superhero. When it comes to the villain we have almost no information and this new image also seems to come from that one confrontation we saw in the teaser. It's not a bad thing; the concept of Shazam might be enough to get people into theaters without spoiling too much of the plot.
Summary: A boy is given the ability to become an adult superhero in times of need with a single magic word.
Shazam!, directed by David F. Sandberg, stars Zachary Levi, Mark Strong, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Asher Angel, and will be written by Henry Gayden and Darren Lemke. It will be released on April 5th, 2019.
