Outlander's John Bell Names Every Country In Under A Minute
Outlander is an extremely popular, epic romantic period piece with a dash of science fiction and a touch of history. The show's fans are dedicated and legion. It is based on a series of novels by Diana Gabaldon, who had the idea for the series sparked by an episode of Doctor Who featuring Patrick Troughton and Frazer Hines. The character of Jamie MacCrimmon lead Gabaldon to set her novel in 18th century Scotland with a male lead named Jamie.
That's all the set up you really need to move on to this… actor John Bell who plays Young Ian and has appeared in The Hobbit, T2 Trainspotting, Wrath of the Titans and Into the Badlands… and how made his acting debut on Doctor Who (see, it's all connected), showed off a unique talent in the video below. He is able to name all of the countries in the world in under one minute. Now, I will be honest and say I don't think I know all of the countries in the world so I can't say if he missed any, but it is damn impressive.
This of course reminded me of the Animaniacs version, but Yakko took almost two minutes for his.
