Rush On Warren Ellis And Jason Howard's Trees As Tom Hardy Makes The Movie

treesUntil today, the last successful sale on eBay for the comic Trees by Warren Ellis and Jason Howard, was on August 31st for $2.

Then nothing.

And now today, twenty-two first issues have suddenly sold with a bunch of other issues too, for over $5. Expect that to be the start.

I bloody love Trees. A proper John Wyndham-y sci-fi filtered through post-modern sensibilities with a touch of Edge of Darkness.

And now NBCUniversal International Studios have optioned the rights, to be adapting for the TV by Tom Hardy's London-based Hardy Son & Baker production company, also working on the screen adaptation of comic series 100 Bullets.

And oh look, Bleeding Cool announced the existence of Trees first. I'd forgotten that.
