Even the Stars of Black Panther Can't Get Black Panther Tickets
You should never wait when it comes to purchasing items that are in highly coveted online. However, Black Panther star Lupita Nyong'o found out the hard way that when the people want something, the servers tend to suffer a little bit, and then you don't have a good time.
In the minute-long video, Nyong'o talks about logging in to buy tickets all of 15 minutes after they went live and she kept getting server errors because shows were selling out so fast.
"I kid you not, 15 minutes later, I was trying to purchase tickets, and they are sold out," she said. "Sold out!"
Black Panther is currently outselling Captain America: Civil War and looks to be one of the bigger openings Marvel has ever had. It's almost like there was this huge untapped market that was giddy to be the real life equivalent of "shut up and take my money."
Summary: T'Challa, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king.
Black Panther, directed Ryan Coogler, stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, and Martin Freeman. It will be released on February 16th, 2018.
